Tax season, Colds, and kankles
One week left in the count down! and we are excited! (and terrified, but more excited than terrified)

She's going to play b-ball for the wolf pack (:

It's been a crazy month with:
-3 colds (Delyse had two!) and a stomach flu
- Tax season starting (so, Dane "gets" to works 6 days a week now)
-A wonderful baby shower put on by Amber and the Young Women. It was very nice and such fun!
-A new neice- Bridget Rose Casper
-Delyse starting back to work on night shift
-A missing belly button (it's completely disappeared!)
-Kankles have appeared in the last week or so
-Bags are packed for the hospital
-And much more...
BUT, no, we still don't have a name for our girl (:
Here's some quick pic's to appease the mom and siblings. Love you guys!

Snow and Cribs and Moving About
In the beginning of January we had a huge snow storm! Dane Selch was really bummed it didn't snow that much when he was here at Christmas. We were given a little red snow shovel by mom and dad Hardy (thanks guys!!) and Dane was sweet and shoveled the walks one afternoon. It took him FOREVER because of the shovel size and mostly because of the large amount of snow. Unfortunately he had to shovel them again that evening and again the next morning. (: I'm sure the neighbors were very grateful!

He's so cute!

Jan 12th we took our childbirth class. It was good and informative and if anyone knows a way to skip over the labor and delivery/birth stuff we would be very happy if you would share the secret!!!
Here is our 34 week belly picture- off of bed rest!! Yay!!!!!!!!!! I've spent the week getting back up and about. I had planned to get back to work at this point but because I'm such a limp noodle after all the laying down (and because of a fun fainting incident in the shower- Dane didn't like that so much) we held off another week and will try and get back to work tomorrow night. Fingers are crossed.

We Have A Crib! It is really cute. Some of our friends and Grandma Sweningsen helped us get the crib and darling sheet set. Thanks so much everyone!!! We love it and are very excited for her to use it!

This week's pic. She should be over 5 lbs now!! and loves to kick ribs and lungs and bladders and dad too! (:
I have had the most wonderful week being off bed rest and moving about. It's been nice to start cooking again, doing some cleaning, getting outside, going to the temple and church, and other things. I never knew how exciting the grocery store could be- I'm sure that feeling will wear off soon though. (: Don't worry. We've even gone on two dates!
We're getting really excited and are having such fun being the typical first time parents-to-be.

Christmas
We had the greatest Christmas! Because traveling is not an approved activity on bedrest, all of Delyse's family came and stayed with us. (Thanks so much guys!!!) It was wonderful to have them here to visit and we're so glad that all 8 of them sacrificed and stuck it out in our 2 bedroom apartment. They didn't even complain, well not too much at least ( :

We're bad bloggers
We are doing really well. We have been so blessed and taken care of by so many wonderful people! It is so overwhelming to be the recipients of so much service, and friendship, and love! It's amazing! So, although we do pretty much the same things most days (Dane- Work, homework, classes, occasional basketball games with friends, preparing lessons for priesthood and sunday school-see pic above- and taking care of his wife; Delyse- reading, crocheting, talking on the phone, watching TV and movies, and taking bathroom breaks) here are some of the highlights of the last month.
My mom came and spent a week taking care of us, filling our freezer with meals we can pull out and heat up, visiting, and distracting me with crafts I could do while lying on my side-see above. It was so wonderful to have her company. I just love my mom!
Dia and her friend Sam drove up to Reno and stayed the night with us one Saturday so he could make a delivery for a friend. It was such a great surprise! They also gave us these super beautiful flowers! I have the best family!
Several of the young women in our ward have come over to watch movies, visit, help with cleaning, and even paint nails. This is Melissa at the top, Cyd on the left and, Markita on the right.
Dane's parents came Thanksgiving night to help out. We had a great time with them and they spoiled us rotten with a new couch and TV!! My hips are so grateful (the rest of us is thankful too)! Mom stayed for a few days more after Dad had to get back to work. I had a great time getting to know her better and really enjoyed hearing all kinds of family stories.
Dyami asked for belly pic's- the only one I have is this one, it's a few weeks old, I look like a cheese ball, and the belly is bigger now but, I don't have another pic, so this will have to do. Our little girl is getting bigger and seems to kick harder every day! Dane reads to her every night and she kicks and wakes up when she hears him. One night Dad and daughter had a war tapping back and forth for several minutes. It was sooo cute!!! We're so glad she's doing so well.
Last night was our first really big snow here in Reno (we've had a few that didn't stick much before) and it's still coming down now. It makes for a nice change of scenery! This is the view out our window. Thought this would make dad jealous! Hopefully we'll have some snow when you guys come. One good thing about bed rest is I don't have to drive in the snow with all the crazy Reno drivers! smile.
Well, that's about all for now. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! (just in case I don't get another post before then)
Much Love!Thursday, November 1, 2007
